Training
The five levels
Training a Hong Dynasty dog takes from a year and a half to two and a half years. Each level is a prerequisite for the next, without exception.
You do not wait for the dog to grow up. It already has.
The maturity shown at each level is the dog's age on the day it reaches you, not the time you spend waiting. Our dogs enter training at two months and are delivered finished.
The timeline depends on the dog, which is why we do not publish a number. A dog already finished in our kennels leaves quickly. A dog selected and trained for your case takes as long as the training takes. In the first conversation we give you the date, looking at that specific dog.

Method
How protection work is built
Protection is taught in four stages, and it only begins once obedience is complete. A dog that fails the temperament assessment does not enter, and that is not negotiable.
- 01
Stage one
Natural drive is worked, with a sleeve and a decoy. The aim is confidence and enjoyment. Control is still limited.
- 02
Stage two
Structure enters. Behaviour moves onto command, and the release must be reliable before anything advances.
- 03
Stage three
Real scenarios. Noise-aversion testing, intent discrimination, unfamiliar environments, more than one decoy.
- 04
Stage four
Off-lead work, instant response and bite inhibition. The dog must stop as well as it starts.
The training does not end with the dog
A finished dog in the hands of an unprepared owner unlearns within weeks. That is why delivery includes training whoever will live with it.
Training for your own dog
You already have a dog and want it assessed, a behaviour corrected, or to take it further. We work with any breed.
